Possible alternative to a degree in Nutrition?
I have always been fascinated by things like what you eat and working out and how for instance what you eat and how you train your body affects it. So I looked into a Nutritionist degree, however there are only about 50,000 nutritionist/dietitions in the entire united states. So I think it would be very hard to find a job without moving across the country or having an unbelieveable commute. What is a degree that I should take that can provide jobs related to this subject or is this a good one? 4 year degree.

First of all, there are a large amount of Dietitians in the world (a Nutritionist is an individual without a degree and little to no credibility). There may be thousands of us (Dietitians) in the world, however it depends on your specialty. That’s like saying you don’t want to be a “doctor”, there are too many. But, there are doctors for cancer, skin, kidneys, feet, colon…etc. Same with dietitians.
As for alternate degrees, for careers? Well, it depends on what you want to do. It is illegal to practice nutrition without your Registered Dietitian Credential…so it honestly depends on your goals.
