Froth in Protein shakes, necessary?
Does anyone know if the froth in Protein Shakes is necessary to consume?
I mix Ice Whey with orange juice (as I don’t like milk) and shake it up pretty vigorously.
The result isn’t too bad tasting, but it’s the frothy bit on the top, the kinda milkshake looking part that I find really difficult to stomach. Is there any need to consume this portion? Is this where all the actual Protein Powder is hiding or is it mixed in within the rest of the drink?

Wow. I never really thought about this. I always just drink the froth, its the opposite for me- the liquid part is difficult for me to stomach. There’s definitely powder in the froth- I can taste it, I just don’t know exactly how much is in there.
I know this is probably not the answer you’re looking for, but your best bet is to just suck it up and drink it all. I just hold my breath and force it down.
