Body Fortress Whey Protein – An In-Depth Review
I’m sure you’ve run into this whey protein at one point or another at your local big chain grocery store. I’ve personally walked past it a 100 times and only a few weeks ago did I stop to check it out and actually buy it. At first glance I always assumed that this whey protein was a cheap store brand with no serious regard to formulation but considering it was one of the lowest priced proteins I have ever seen and the fact I don’t like to judge a book by its cover.. it was well worth trying it out.
Ingredients and Price
One of the first things I do before buying any supplement is I check the ingredients. The ingredients usually give me a good idea on how effective the supplement itself will be. The ingredients in body fortress whey protein were the standard types of ingredients you see in whey. One thing I did not like when I was looking at the ingredients was the fact body fortress held back on the Amino Acids a bit. I personally felt it was under dosed on amino acids but I suppose I can’t complain because the product itself doesn’t cost much at all.
The real “selling point” of body fortress is the fact that it’s very cost efficient. On a good day you can pick up 2lbs for $13. With that being said the pricing is no doubt a 10/10.

Taste and Mixability
Personally, the taste and mixability of any supplement to me is very important. Considering I will be using the given supplement daily, it is crucial that I actually enjoy consuming the given supplement.
I always take my whey protein with water and in a cup that I stir with a spoon. As I was added the body fortress whey protein in a cup and started to stir I noticed some minor clumping going on. I don’t like seeing clumps of whey as that means I will need to fish out the clumps with my finger.
Once the whey was satisfyingly mixed in with the water, I decided to drink it and see how the taste it. I bought the vanilla flavor and I have to say I was surprised and it wound up tasting pretty good going down but after it went down, the after taste was pretty bad.
MIXABILITY: 6/10
TASTE: 6/10
Overall
While using body fortress whey I didn’t feel any different then I did with other Whey Proteins. My strength gains were as stable as any other whey and my recovery times were similar to my usual whey despite body fortress whey being a little under dosed with amino acids. With that said if your a person who doesn’t believe in all the marketing gimmicks/ingredients of other whey proteins or your just looking to save money and get something that works well.. This is the right whey protein for you. You may not get the best but you will get the best price.
